Kiss is a four-part, self assembly, polypropylene lampshade. Its pod-like form completely encloses the bulb, shielding it from insects and protecting eyes.
All four components can be white to provide maximum illumination; or a combination of different shades offers both task and mood lighting.
Using a single material means less energy is used in extracting, processing and transporting raw materials. During manufacture components are die-cut from a sheet of material in the most efficient way, minimising offcut waste. Flat-packing makes efficient use of space and energy in transportation.
Polypropylene has among the lightest environmental impacts of any plastic during manufacture and disposal. Its translucency makes it an ideal lampshade material, and its susceptibility to heat means energy saving bulbs are essential.
