“The Government has given private enterprise great support. Many policies are beneficial to our development. This is what impresses me most.”

“Chinese staffs from Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company have given us great support and also care about our daily life.”

lifeofguangzhou.com: As a foreign expert in Guangzhou, what do you think is the biggest achievement you have gotten? What made you feel proudest?

“The biggest achievement: We start from zero. We have completed the production of many series of new motor and the construction of a new factory which can produce 360 thousand cars per year.

The proudest thing: in the aspects of quality, cost and delivery, we produce sorts of new series of motors with world-class Nissan techniques and build new factory.

lifeofguangzhou.com: Are there any difficulties when working with your Chinese staff? How did you deal with it? For example, some culture difference.

“The most difficult for me is language and culture shock. In view of the differences, both sides of the management in China and Japan have established the Action Program of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company through negotiation to achieve the unity of aim for the whole company.”

“At the time Nissan Motor Co. and Dongfeng Motor Co. cooperated, I was glad to be the liaison officer here.”

lifeofguangzhou.com: How long do you plan to work in Guangzhou?

“I hope to stay here and try my best to contribute more to the development of Guangzhou.”

lifeofguangzhou.com: What’s your suggestion to Guangzhou city?

“The government should accelerate Guangzhou’s Infrastructure construction, including promoting electricity power, consummating road transport facilities, and well implementing traffic rules as well.”
