Additional Matters Concerning Contracts

Please ensure that the contracts and related appendices are complete so that adequate evidence can be supplied in case disputes arise between the employer and the foreign visiting professor(s). In order to protect the interests of both parties concerned, the following matters are to be observed concerning the appendices of contracts.

1. Appendices shall contain the same numbers as in the standard contract, so as to remain in conformity with it;

2. Job responsibilities of the foreign visiting professors shall be specifically detailed as to work load requirements;

3. Articles concerning pay and living conditions for foreign visiting professors shall be in line with the stipulations found in Regulations on the Pay and Living Conditions for Foreign Visiting Professors jointly issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the Ministry of Public Finance;

4. Appendices shall cover other matters not covered in the standard contract, such as contractual probation and security deposit;

5. It shall be explicitly stated that appendices are indispensable parts of the standard contract and bear the same legal validity as the latter;

6. The contract shall contain the signatures of both parties, and the date and place it was signed; and

7. Other matters.
