Kite Flying

Updated Beijing Time

If you go down to the riverside, the park or to Tianhe sports stadium, especially during the weekends, you can find people, young and old playing with kites, homemade or bought. It`s really a colourful sight, the sky filled with kites and the ground filled with relaxed and happy people. I remember I had a kite when I was a kid, I was always running around trying to make it fly. However, there are not so many people do it in Norway as in China. As I know kite in China has a long history and the earliest Chinese kites were made of wood and called muyuan. I am definitely buying a kite and bringing back home so that I can play in the parks of Oslo this summer. Maybe I should get some chinese kids to teach me how to fly it properly.
