Richard Taylor and John Taylor are brothers. In 1974, they began their business of planting and processing organic prunes and prune products in California where the gold-rushers ran out of gold to dig up.
A prune is a dried plum. Dried plums are processed to become nutritious food ingredients in desserts, yogurts, ice cream, sorbets, salads and baked goods. Others are made into canned prune snacks, prune extract, and prune juice. The prune extract contains natural sweeteners, compared to white cane sugar, and can be used in sweetening food healthily.
One of the largest organic prune growers and processors in the world, they also distribute their products to U.S., Europe and Asia.
